Le Pigalle Paris: A Neighbourhood Hotel Unlike Any Other

Perfectly located in Paris, Le Pigalle is one of the neighbourhood's trendiest hotels. The foyer will greet you with the most perfectly curated décor, giving you something to look at at all times of the day. Alexandre Guillemain, a furniture hunter, has been uncovering little-known jewels of various styles and eras for the hotel. The stunning marble table at the entrance is simply a foretaste of all your eyes will see throughout your stay. Le Pigalle is a real "hôtel du quartier" that blends in beautifully with its setting. The space is known for attracting "the cool kids," which means that you will find the trendiest restaurants and hotels, and not far away, the renowned Moulin Rouge will stand on Boulevard Clichy, serving the purpose.

There are 40 distinct rooms with a simple, yet, beautiful interior. The place encourages guests to spontaneously relax and feel at ease, since it gives the impression that no one will condemn you for anything. All of this casual and unbiased demeanour makes the entire experience so welcoming and satisfying, which often entices people to return frequently.

.Le Pigalle intended to establish a location where people could come together, whether they were from the neighbourhood or from the other side of the globe. You can stay for a few nights, have a drink (or four), or go to Café Pigalle, one of their newest addition, to sip on a beautifully balanced flat white. You'll enjoy savoury croissants from a nearby bakery, read books from the local bookshop, and listen to music picked by a local DJ and record collector. They've collaborated with outstanding people with deep local roots to maintain Le Pigalle's original perspective. The hotel feels that honouring local stores and artists adds value to the neighbourhood, and Le Pigalle has certainly excelled in this endeavour.

The room, Pigalle 21

Pigalle 21 is a 21m2 room inspired by the musical spirit of Pigalle, with a king-sized bed, turntable, and a personal vinyl collection. The primary piece of furniture in the room is the star and the location of all the enchantment. A one-of-a-kind, huge cabinet with a turntable from Essential, a mini-bar (not so mini) with a range of ready-made cocktails, bottles of gin, rum, vodka, sparkling water, gin tonic, and other fantastic goods to make your own creation. Le Pigalle allows you to learn about the neighbourhood via the abilities of the collective it has assembled in your very own apartment.

The room features an open bathroom with a window that lets in a lot of natural light. Each guest has their own bathroom sink, which is uncommon given how small most Parisian hotels are. The place has a very mellifluous white touch in everything that makes the atmosphere overall so calming and peaceful. In addition to that, on soothing white walls, there are gorgeous photos of Paris and other things hanging meticulously throughout the room. The elegance of white combined with amazing photography shots makes you feel as if you have been transported to an art museum.

Apart from visuals, there's full Le Labo body products, with the most mesmerising scent. They have everything so well organised that you will even discover an iron and a hair dryer, which clearly demonstrates how they thought of everything. It may seem trivial, unless you need one immediately and don't have time to call reception.

Along with everything else, the beds are also one of the most comfortable spots. They might differ in size depending on your room number, but they will provide you with enough space to sleep well and wake up feeling refreshed. Le Pigalle may expect their customers to oversleep a bit more than normal based on their ideal assortment of booze. so you’ll find breakfast service from 7am to 4pm.

The in-room service tablet at Le Pigalle is an impressive feature that allows you to access anything and order room service without leaving your bed. If you need to talk to someone, there is a chat option where someone will respond in less than a minute. The tablet is actually life-changing, allowing you to be more self-sufficient at a hotel rather than contacting reception every second for something you may require. It also has information on the neighbourhood, hotels, and other attractions, making you feel as if you had your own personal tour guide with you.

The food

Food here is prepared in the simplest way possible, yet tastes wonderful. The breakfast includes avocado toast, gravlax salmon, yoghurt with handmade jam, gluten-free pancakes and more. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, providing the perfect morning boost, and the coffee tastes equally as delicious, with the added incentive of vegan alternative milk.

The selection of lunch menu is great which is served from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. It includes the well-known fish and chips that everyone seems to order-a safe bet, well-cooked with handmade chips we can't get enough of. Another standout item is the excellent grilled cheese with comté and mushrooms, which is highly recommended for a quick yet savoury snack. If that isn't enough cheese, their roasted honey camembert is cooked to perfection and serves well as an appetiser.

We adore Le Pigalle restaurant on the main level, which is designed with wonderful taste and attention to detail. The headphones hanging throughout the foyer are another unusual feature of the hotel, which emphasises the theme, the cool kids zone. Putting them on will instantly transport you to Le Pigalle's playlist. Music is celebrated throughout the venue. It creates a healing environment and is like a boost of endorphins ,which is something particularly enjoyed by the guests.

Celebrating Life's Simple Joys in Styles

Finally, right next door, Café Pigalle is another extension of the hotel, a small neighbourhood specialised coffeeshop. Here you'll find delicious baked pastries, wonderful coffee, and even a huge table in the rear where you can work on your computer or simply read a book in peace.

Le Pigalle feels like home; it's simple but sophisticated at the same time. Looking around, we can see how much time and effort was spent into each corner of this place. The furniture selections are just great, the DJ entertaining the visitors is exhilarating, and the environment is informal yet classy. Le Pigalle is undoubtedly the neighbourhood's main spot and the place to be.

Le Pigalle makes you realise that it doesn't always have to be lavish dinners and luxurious spots. The hotel will give you time, without judgement or anything else, to just live in the moment and enjoy the simple things. When life becomes too hectic, it will welcome you and allow you to breathe but most importantly, be yourself and hang out with the most unique crowd.
